Shopping Districts

Seven key shopping districts dot the landscape in the Memphis region, with many more individual retail and shopping centers highlighted by indoor and outdoor malls and restaurants, are located within or nearby.

The Avenue Carriage Crossing, the newest and largest is located in Collierville at Houston Levee and Bill Morris Parkway. This beautifully landscaped pedestrian mall contains over 70 stores, anchored by Dillard’s and Macy's, and more than a dozen full-service restaurants.

Southaven Towne Center is located in Southaven, Mississippi, just off I-55 South at Airways Blvd. and Marathon Way. Also an outdoor mall, Towne Center features over 40 stores including a Dillards, HH Gregg, Aeropostale, Ashley Furniture, and many more that include everything from books to salons.

Wolfchase Galleria is the largest mall within the Memphis city limits. It features more than 120 stores anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s. It is surrounded by three other shopping areas with a variety of retailers ranging from Sears, JC Penneys, Target, Lowe’s as well as such stores as Brookstone, T.J.Maxx.  The mall offers 21 places to get food and features a multiplex movie theater to enjoy the latest cinema.

Oak Court Mall, named to the Memphis' Most Beautiful Business Hall of Fame, the mall is surrounded by exquisite Italian marble and original bronze scultures.  Located in heart of Memphis near the University of Memphis, like the other malls mentioned above, it has 70+ stores including nine specialty food service providers and restaurants. The mall is across the street from upscale and couture shopping in Laurelwood Plaza, which offers another 30 purveyors of goods and services for the avid shopper.  Just two blocks east of Oak Court is upscale shopping at boutiques like Bella Viaggia, Joseph, and Sachi, and James Davis. One block further is a mecca of shopping for housewares – a Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn outlet.

Downtown is a hub for eclectic food and shopping with ample diversions for the husband and kids. Adjacent to the historic Peabody Place Hotel in downtown Memphis, is the famous Texas de Brazil. On the next block, along South Main, choose from local art, unique gifts, and downtown-chic clothes at boutiques or simply spend the morning at Downtown’s Farmer’s Market. Tanger Outlets in Southaven opened in 2015 as the largest outlet mall in the area. With over 70 stores, visitors can shop brands such as Banana Republic, Michael Kors, H&M and Nike. Ten restaurants, including local favorites Huey’s and Memphis Barbecue Company, offer a range of dining options.
