Andre Gibson Joins Greater Memphis Chamber Staff as Member Services Coordinator

Memphis, Tenn—The Greater Memphis Chamber announced that Andre Gibson has joined the Chamber as Member Services Coordinator, the primary liaison for members at the Chamber.
Gibson will engage with Chamber members, made up of 80% of small businesses, connecting them to the resources the Chamber provides to help their businesses grow as well as to tools and contacts that address any issues.
Additionally, Gibson will assist with programs to recruit and retain Chamber members as well as providing support on member programs and the Small Business Council task forces. He will also help new members be aware of benefits such as the Affinity Program which offers exclusive discounts to Chamber members on products and services.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Andre join our team,” said Tom Rieger, Sr. Vice President of Membership, Greater Memphis Chamber. “With his background in leadership and recruitment, he is the perfect addition to help us grow and retain our membership.”
Gibson previously worked as the Community Engagement Coordinator for Heifer International in Memphis, leading grassroots advocacy efforts and recruiting volunteers to meet targeted goals. He has also worked as the Systems Integration Administrator for Buckman USA, managing websites and databases as well as responsible for internal auditing and ISO 9001 Quality Policy and Procedures.

He serves as the Vice Chairman on the Board of Commissioners for the Memphis Area Transit Authority and previously served as the Vice President (Civic Engagement Chair) for Memphis Urban League Young Professionals and Chairman of Memphis City Beautiful Commission. Gibson was named one of the Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 in 2014 and graduated from Leadership Memphis Executive Program in 2008.
The Greater Memphis Chamber is the lead economic development agency for Memphis/Shelby County, and is a private, non-profit, membership-driven organization comprised of 2,300 business enterprises, civic organizations, educational institutions and individuals.
