Is your business a target for scammers?

When my phone rings, I’m usually expecting to hear from a prospective member or a client interested in benefits offered by the Chamber. However, just recently the phone rang with a slightly different intent. I received a call from new Chamber member Elizabeth Cawein with Signal Flow PR. Instead of the usual casual conversation, she shared some more serious concerns. She received a phone call from a person at a strange number posing as a law enforcement officer and soliciting money for an unfamiliar charity event. Claiming to have received her information from her newly acquired Chamber membership, this person was calling from an out-of-area number - and Elizabeth instantly noticed other red flags.
