I know this weekend was tough for many Memphians, and several of us are still dealing with the effects of the severe weather.

One thing I’m reminded of during this time is that Memphians come together when it gets hard. Neighbors helping neighbors. Friends helping friends. Even strangers helping strangers.

That right there is FOR MEMPHIS- the good in our city even when things aren’t easy.

An Update from MLGW & City of Memphis

After severe weather this weekend, 140,000 people were without power. Since then, MLGW has restored power to 100,000 households in Memphis. This was the 7th most damaging storm in our history, and within 36 hours, 90% of households affected are back with power. Urban Roots Farm Gives Local Students Hands-On Agriculture & Business Experience
