Registration is now open for a free, one-day workshop for Memphis small business owners

MEMPHIS, TN – DoorDash and the Greater Memphis Chamber today opened registration for the Local Business Workshop — a free, one-day, in-person training on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, designed to help businesses grow.

The Workshop provides local small business owners with hands-on training on DoorDash tools and advertising, education on new AI-powered tools, direct connections to local business support organizations, and networking with peers all in a single day. It builds on DoorDash’s Accelerator for Local Businesses which has supported more than 400 small businesses nationwide since 2021.

The Workshop series is part of DoorDash’s Unlocking Main Street campaign, which aims to make it easier for small businesses to open and grow in the U.S.

“We’re glad to stand alongside DoorDash and the City of Memphis to bring this kind of hands-on support directly to our small business owners,” said Duncan Williams, Interim President & CEO and Chair of the Board of Directors, Greater Memphis Chamber. “Workshops like this give entrepreneurs more than new skills — they open the door to the partnerships and resources they need to keep growing.”

“Memphis’s small businesses are the backbone of this city, and this Workshop is our way of putting real tools directly in their hands and helping them cut through the red tape, ” said Darrell Davis, Head of Public Engagement for DoorDash in Tennessee. “Working with the Greater Memphis Chamber and city leaders, we’re focused on giving local entrepreneurs a clear path to the resources and connections that help them thrive.”

Registration for the Memphis Workshop is open until October 7, 2026. Eligible businesses must be independently owned, operate a brick-and-mortar storefront, and have three or fewer locations.
