Chamber Connects Women Business Leaders Across the Region
In 2017, a study by American Express found that between 2007 and 2016, the number of women-owned businesses in Memphis grew by more than 122 percent, making Memphis the top market in the U.S. for growth of women-owned businesses. Additionally, more than half of the population in City of Memphis is female.

Amazon Announces $200 million Facility in North Memphis
On January 27, Amazon announced a $200 million investment in a new fulfillment center located in the Frayser/Raleigh community. The new robotics facility will create over 1000 new full-time jobs with industry leading pay. Each position will come with full-time comprehensive benefits as well as 20 weeks of maternity/paternity leave.
