The Greater Memphis Chamber announced today the addition of Nancy Coffee as the new Senior Vice President of the Chairman’s Circle – a group of visionary, civic-minded business leaders committed to moving Memphis forward with a clear and focused growth agenda designed to create more economic prosperity and improve the quality of life in the Greater Memphis region. The Greater Memphis Chamber is honored to have Young Arts Patrons (YAP) curate The Gallery at The Greater Memphis Chamber. We celebrated the artists and reveal of The Gallery during the Chamber’s SoulRight Trolley Night Pre-Party on July 26.
The Gallery highlights local photographers and makers that capture the essence of the people, place, and prosperity of Memphis’s vibrant economy. The works found in this gallery are aligned with visually showcasing the goal and mission of The Greater Memphis Chamber to “focus its efforts on providing economic growth for all—from breaking barriers to business growth today to creating long- term strategies for Memphis’ future.”

American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities (ALSAC), the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was one of the first to implement Lean Six Sigma in Memphis. ALSAC’s sole mission is to raise the funds and awareness necessary to operate and maintain St. Jude. ALSAC is the largest healthcare related charity in the United States to implement the Six Sigma philosophy at the grassroots level, through their incorporation of the Lean Six Sigma philosophy ALSAC decreased the donor-processing time by involving coordinators, supervisors, specialists, data entry employees and front line employees.

This fall, the Chamber will begin the Taking it to the Streets initiative, a Grassroots campaign designed to inform community residents about the work of the Chamber. The campaign will involve one or two meetings in neighborhoods at community centers, CDC offices, Churches, or other community spaces.
