It takes hard work, dedication and sometimes good old fashion luck to build a strong, profitable business. One of the best pieces of advice for entrepreneurs and emerging business owners is to get smart insights from people who have been there before.
See what Brad Federman of PerformancePoint LLC has to say on how he keeps his business growing.
What’s the best advice you ever received?
Don’t try to be everything to everybody. Every successful business must have a focus. When you lack focus you lose efficiency, profitability and hinder your ability to build a brand.
What do you wish you knew when you started your business?
Looking back I am glad I did not know a lot. The more I knew the more daunting an effort it would have been. Sometimes a bit of naivete is helpful. What you don’t know you figure out and if you know too much you may not take the leap.
What’s your best time management hack?
Create breaks in your day. It sounds like the exact opposite of what you should do, but it works. Why? Because Life is not linear. Finding ways to recharge increases your productivity and productivity helps with time.
