The name NIKE brings to mind sports icons and legends who have impressive endorsements.

When you add the words, Business, Community, Employees, Government and Sports Marketing to the name NIKE, you get another image; the man who connects all of those areas to benefit the community at large.

Willie Gregory has served the Memphis Community for over 20 years with experience in sports, community and business investment.

Before joining NIKE, Willie was employed with the IBM Corporation as regional marketing/sales manager.

His dedication and commitment has not gone unnoticed, as he is the recipient of several awards and has affiliations with several community based organizations that promote education, cultural awareness and civic responsibility. These include:

  • The 100 Black Men of America

  • Big Brothers/Big Sisters Florence Howard Leadership Award

  • NIKE’s African American Network Person of the Year Award

  • LeMoyne Owen College’s Beacon of Hope Honoree

  • The Ralph Hatley University of Memphis Hall of Fame Athletic Award

  • Memphis City Schools Hall of Fame Inductee

  • AutoZone Liberty Bowl President 2010

  • Former Board Member, National Civil Rights Museum, Youth Villages, Memphis Development Foundation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Memphis

  • Board Chair, the Greater Memphis Alliance for a Competitive Workforce

He also spearheaded the largest Sports Athletic contract for the University of Memphis.

He is the man who personifies the NIKE slogan, “Just do it.”
