When you think of colors associated with Memphis, you think blue, not green.  But Memphis is greener than you think. We have some incredible green spaces and initiatives that make us stand out.

We are home to a 4500-acre park, Shelby Farms, that’s over five times the size of Central Park in New York City. We are the soon-to-be home to an $80 million wastewater recycling facility, which will ensure our drinking water remains one of our greatest assets. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Memphis being a green city.

Rankings measure what was, but we are focused on what’s next for Memphis. Let’s make the city greener and greater.
