In Memphis, we’re building a GREATER Memphis for all
Diversity of perspective. Economic equity. Inclusion through action.
These are the core elements for building a GREATER and more prosperous Memphis for all. At the Greater Memphis Chamber, we believe economic impact is social impact. And when we embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), we become a stronger and more resilient community. A community that feels a profound sense of connection and belonging.
But social impact is also economic impact. Inclusive economic growth is the only sustainable economic growth, and that’s especially true in Memphis, the nation’s largest majority-Black city.
The Chamber and other Memphis-based organizations teamed up with Heartland Forward to conduct a detailed study of the state of Black business and wealth in Greater Memphis. Our belief is that when we know the problems, we can address them. Read the report here.
