Taking Action on Behalf of Greater Memphis

We Advocate for Growth-Minded Public Policies

Seeing the GREATER Picture

Advocacy plays a crucial role in building an ‘Economy of Innovation,’ which is a pillar of our Prosper Memphis 2030 strategic plan.

From infrastructure and public works to healthcare and education, we’re active, vocal, and influential when it comes to the legislative and regulatory frameworks our members compete within.

As a member, you can count on us to find the facts, make the case, and advocate the right course of action for Greater Memphis business. And we do that with input from our members, guidance from our Government Affairs Committee, and the approval of our Board of Directors.

Our annual legislative priorities drive our advocacy efforts. These priorities represent member feedback and concerns and the careful analyses handled by our expert team.

Featured Projects

Memphis is fortunate to dominate in the global logistics arena. River, roads, rail, and runways – we have it all, and we know how to make things move.

In fact, Memphis sits atop the list for global and regional logistics hubs, according to Business Facilities magazine.

Because Memphis is a crucial link in the national and global supply chains, it’s important to make sure our infrastructure if modern and has the capacity to keep up with our growth. That’s why we’ve advocated for decades for increasing the capacity of the bridges that keep our road-based transportation moving seamlessly across the Mississippi River.

The Chamber is working hard to ensure Memphis keeps moving smoothly across all four of our invaluable transportation assets.
