A GREATER Memphis starts with the members of the Greater Memphis Chamber. Through our Councils and Task Forces, our members collaboratively leverage their expertise, knowledge, and passion for Greater Memphis to accelerate growth and prosperity throughout the region.

The Chamber’s Council and Task Forces help Memphis businesses grow and thrive, which is a key component of our Prosper Memphis 2030 strategic plan.

Chair: Michael Fulton, Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) of the Chamber’s Board of Directors directs, guides and supports the Chamber as it advocates for the Greater Memphis business community at the local, state, and federal levels. The Committee also makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on the Chamber’s policy positions and annual legislative priorities.

The Committee meets monthly, with additional meetings scheduled as issues surface throughout the legislative session.

Committee members, as well as the Chamber’s general membership, are encouraged to participate in the regular legislative activities of the Greater Memphis Chamber, including the MEM2NASH (Nashville) trip, D.C. Fly-In (Washington, D.C.) trip, and other similar activities.

The Manufacturing Council promotes regional economic development that enhances the manufacturing industry, monitors and responds to local initiatives that affect the manufacturing industry, and is the repository of information and collaboration for the burgeoning Greater Memphis manufacturing community.

Princeton James Productions The Music Industry Council brings together business leaders to leverage their experience and the rich musical history of Greater Memphis to accelerate the growth of the regional industry. To learn more about the council, contact Jessica Mosley.

The Small Business Council (SBC) of the Greater Memphis Chamber provides support, resources, advocacy, and programming and networking opportunities designed to accelerate the growth of small businesses (fewer than 500 employees) throughout the region.

The Women’s Business Council (WBC) of the Greater Memphis Chamber is a hub for women professionals from across the region to network, learn, and collaborate. Each quarter, subject matter experts lead crucial conversations followed by group discussions in break-out sessions, giving women the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from others.
