Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

In Memphis, we’re building a GREATER Memphis for all

Diversity of perspective. Economic equity. Inclusion through action.

These are the core elements for building a GREATER and more prosperous Memphis for all. At the Greater Memphis Chamber, we believe economic impact is social impact. And when we embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), we become a stronger and more resilient community. A community that feels a profound sense of connection and belonging.

But social impact is also economic impact. Inclusive economic growth is the only sustainable economic growth, and that’s especially true in Memphis, the nation’s largest majority-Black city.

Seeing the GREATER Picture

Diversity plays an important role in our Prosper Memphis 2030 strategic plan.
